Nottingham Emergency Medical Services (NEMS) is a non-commercial out of hours GP co-operative dedicated to providing a comprehensive, high quality out of hours general practice services of all general practitioners in the Nottingham Health Authority district.
The service includes a 24 hour
telephone answering and paging facility, and an out of hours
service for general practice comprising of telephone advice,
and face to face consultations conducted in dedicated Primary
Care Centres (PCC) and at home. There is dedicated patient
transport service for those patients attending the PCC(s) who
do not have access to their own transport.
