NEMS telephone call handlers and workload co-ordinators work alongside our nurses, doctors and drivers and ensure that patients and other callers get a prompt, safe and efficient service. The work is interesting and varied and suits well-organised people with good interpersonal and telephone skills. Full training can be given to the right applicants.
We offer a range of opportunities from a few hours a week as a second job to full-time roles. Call handlers and coordinators are required predominantly in the out-of-hours period - see the table below.
